Worked example — page 1 header of a two-page CV
- ✓ Top of page 1, in the same block as your email and phone. That is where a recruiter’s eyes already go.
- ✓ Keep the ID readable as text, not only as a QR — most lookups are typed from a PDF on a laptop.
- ✓ Add the signature line to the covering email, so it is there before the CV is opened.
- ✕ Not in the footer, not on page 2, not smaller than your body text. A mark that cannot be found is a mark that does not work.
- ✕ Don’t caption it “verified employment”. Caption it, if at all, “verified profile on Official”.
What the mark does — and does not — claim
The mark says that a verified profile exists for this identifier: your identity was established on 12 Mar 2026, and the records in it were confirmed by your employers. It does not say what is in the profile — not your employers, roles or dates. A recruiter learns those only after you approve their request. Describing the mark as more than that on your CV would make it a claim you have not earned.
Rotate identifier

Before you confirm — the consequence
Every CV, email signature and PDF already sent with this identifier stops resolving the moment you rotate. A company that looks the old one up will be told it was superseded and to ask you for the current one — they will not be forwarded.
