This ID has been superseded

The person rotated their identifier after this CV was issued. The old one no longer resolves — by design — and the CV you are holding is older than their profile.

Ask the person for their current ID
Rotation is something people do deliberately — for instance after a CV circulated further than intended. Every copy carrying the old identifier stops resolving at once (D13). The new one is not derivable from the old, and we do not forward you to it: that would defeat the point of rotating.
Suggested wording to the candidate

“The Official ID on the CV we have has been superseded. Could you send your current ID, or a link to your public page?”

Don’t abandon the application

While you wait for the current identifier, name search reaches the same profile if the candidate still has one.

Try another ID

If the CV shows a different code, or you have a newer CV.

Invite

Rate-limited. Unrecognised lookups are limited per account and per network, and slow down after repeated misses. This screen is also the oracle an attacker would use to enumerate valid identifiers, so it is deliberately unhelpful about anything but the ID you entered.
